Deadly Kindies.
An initiative to increase the numbers of indigienous kids in kindy.
What it does.
There are barriers preventing indigenous kids from making an easy start at kindy.
Kindergartens in Queensland require that kids are vaccinated and healthy and that they have their own supplies (eg. blanket & water bottle).
In addition, there’s mistrust for institutions like medical practices and schools for indigenous peoples.
DK provides kits with everything a child needs to start kindy. This happens after a health check at a local trusted Aboriginal Medical Service. And, the messages about these services are supported by indigenous sporting celebrities and an established trusted brand (Deadly Choices).
The Kindy Kit.
A backpack filled with; a blanket, water-bottle, sun hat, Deadly Choices jersey, lunchbox, pillow case and laundry bag.
On-boarding.
We built a micro-site to make the process to find an Aboriginal Medical Service easier.
It also served to provide additional trust through transparent communication and providing clear information. The site itself also had to meet WCAG compliance.
A clear journey mapped for the user.
